- #4 of 18 AMD machines
Why this score
The score adds up these parts. Each part has a weight. A part counts as the average of its sources, pulled toward 80 when there are few sources.
AI power
50% weightcounts as 80.7Average of 2 sources: 81.1
Experts
30% weightcounts as 83.8Average of 1 source: 87.6
Users
20% weightcounts as 79.6Average of 1 source: 79.2
Shown, not counted
These sit inside an average we already count, or come from the maker's own shop.
Thin: only 2 reviews and buyer ratings, so they are pulled toward the average.
80 is the field average. A part counts as 80 + (average − 80) × N ÷ (N + 1), where N is its number of sources. One source counts half of the gap from 80. No sources count as 80.

Tuned Linux maxima need kernel parameters and are not used: up to 124 GiB (kyuz0 toolboxes on a Framework Desktop, Fedora, amdgpu.gttsize=126976, ttm.pages_limit=32505856, 4 GiB left to the OS), about 110 GB (runaihome), about 108 GB stable (Jeff Geerling).

Notes
Compact 128 GB (or 96 GB) soldered Strix Halo box that Notebookcheck rated 88% and found steady under load, with 2.5 GbE and two USB4 ports. It is audible at 48.8 dB(A) under load (15 cm) and the shop price in EUR could not be confirmed.
Launch-era coverage (Liliputing, May 2025) lists LPDDR5x-8533, 2x 2.5 GbE and a 40 TOPS NPU; the current maker page and Notebookcheck give LPDDR5X-8000, one 2.5 Gbps LAN port (page text also says 'dual LAN') and a 50 TOPS NPU. Bandwidth table uses 8000 MT/s x 256-bit = 256 GB/s. Memory allocation: maker FAQ allows 96 GB to the GPU on 128 GB, Notebookcheck's test unit showed 64 GB VRAM. Price: Notebookcheck earlier cited EUR 1,281 and 1,469; deal sites and comments mention EUR 2,588.95 to about 2,712 for 128 GB/2 TB, none verifiable on the shop page. The 96 GB model uses the maker's 48 GB BIOS limit; no Linux figure is documented for 96 GB. GPU memory follows AMD's Variable Graphics Memory rule for every box with this chip (75% of RAM: 48 GB on 64 GB, 96 GB on 128 GB); tuned Linux figures are in the GPU memory note. FP16 TFLOPS is AMD's figure for the chip.
